We used the bang pole on a hazardous drug warrant this past week. This was the first time we have used it in an actual operation. The pole performed well and was easy to use. The operator who was assigned to the break and rake, with the bang pole, said he was surprised by how well and how easily the window was taken out. The diversionary device was deployed in a bedroom and had an outstanding effect. Getting the diversionary device off of the ground not only diminishes the chance for fire, but also increases the effects of the device.
This operation called for the use of two diversionary devices. After the operation was over, the Lieutenant looked at the burn marks which had been left in the living room by the device that was hand tossed and suggested we look into purchasing additional bang poles because of the increased safety.
This product has performed excellently and the customer service has been exceptional.

The flashbang pole is a critical tool for any SWAT team. Any tool that allows my officers to deploy a device in a safer manner is worth it’s weight in gold. The pole reduces the officer’s exposure during deployment, keeps them away from breaking glass and maintains control of the diversion device as it is deployed. This is a risk and liability reduction three fold!
