2 EXT - 2' Extension F/BP6000

The 2’ extension was designed for your operations when more length is needed when deploying the BP series flashbang poles.  The 2EXT has an overall length of 24” and a weight of 2.7 lbs.  The 2EXT is a very heavy duty extension which will perform over and over again when porting heavy glass.  The 2EXT compliments the BP series poles by allowing the operator to place either a NFDD or a Non-Burning gas canister into the highest point of an opening thus increasing the performance of the NFDD.

5 EXT-SE - 5' Extension W/12" stand off leg

The 5’ extension is designed for second story deployment of NFDD’s.  This extension is mated with the BP series poles which allow your port team operator the ability to place a NFDD near an opening at a height of 15’ to 17’.  The 5EXT-SE has a 12” stand off leg which allows the operator the ability to rest the tool near an opening until deployment of the NFDD is needed.  The 5EXT-SE has a total length of 60” and a weighs 5lbs.  The extension is built on the same platform as the BP series poles and is easily detachable allowing flexibility in your operations.

Sidewinder - 90 degree extension

J&N learned that operators were laying the BP series poles just inside a doorway in order maintain a "controlled" delivery of the NFDD.  After having dialog with operators using this technique, we at J&N felt a need to develop an extension which would allow operators the ability to maintain more control of the flashbang pole and NFDD.  Months later, a new extension was developed and is now called the Sidewinder.  The Sidewinder allows the operator the ability to place a NFDD at an entry point for either a breach and hold - in conjunction with/or without an entry into the structure.

By laying our BP series poles inside a doorway potentially created two possible issues of concern.  First the standard clamp head used on our poles has very sharp teeth to pull fabric and obstructions from opening(s).  As operators move through the breach point, there was a concern of an operator(s) hooking their boots on the sharp teeth of the clamp head or just tripping on the pole itself.  Secondly, when laying the pole in the doorway, the designated operator looses physical control over the unsecured flashbang pole.

The new Sidewinder comes with its own clamp head, which has no hood (sharp teeth) covering the NFDD.  The two stand off legs allow the operator to place it inside the door and rest the extension on the leg, thus keeping the NFDD approximately 4" off the floor.  When the NFDD is secured in the clamp head, the ports on the NFDD are in the vertical position during deflagration.

The Sidewinder extension works very well with the BP series poles, however is very easily managed with the new BP-2C due to its compact length.  One thing to consider when using the Sidewinder extension, make sure you have enough space at the breach point to allow the operator the ability to manuever when insertion of the NFDD.

The Sidewinder extension has also been a very valuable piece of equipment in pushing or securing a door into an open position after it has been breached.  This allows the shield/cover officer the ability to just cover the opening and keep a safe distance from opening, thus being able to react is need be, see photo below.

BANGSTICK 90 DEGREE NFDD DELIVERY POLE

J&N Tactical released the Bangsitck™ with the 90 degree clamp head in April of 2008. The Bangstick™ gives the operator another tool and or option for deploying NFDD's during tactical operations. The operators felt both poles had merit for different tactical operations. The Bangstick™ is another "heavy duty" product with our outstanding quality and durability.

Image:
The Bangstick flashbang pole is very similar to the BP6000, however, the 90 degree angled head allows the operator a standoff distance from an opening.  The port team operator deploys the NFDD into the opening while standing at an angle to the opening being ported.  The Bangstick is handled by grasping just below the round ring near the center of the pole with your strong hand and your reaction hand positioned near the bottom of the pole.

Near the bottom of the Bangstick is a 5 ½" stand-off.  While deploying the Bangstick, the operator ports the upward portion of the window, pulls the stand-off into your body/belt line which keeps the trigger free from any obstructions such as your body armor/duty belt, etc.   The trigger is pulled with your reaction hand.

Once the operator has ported the opening, the pole is given a ¼ turn which places the NFDD to the highest part of the ceiling.  This gives your NFDD the most performance as well as avoiding any human contact with the body of the NFDD.

Once the NFDD has deflagrated, the operator can quickly rake out the window by pulling down from the top corner, across the bottom and in an upward position to the top of the frame if necessary.

Note:  The Bangstick has no extensions or attachments other than the variety of clamp heads for various makes/models of NFDD's.  The Bangstick is designed for ground level operations.
